Our strong desire at Covenant is that everyone would find a group setting outside of the Worship Service where they can grow in their relationship with Christ and with other believers. We provide a time on Sunday morning for this to happen. We have Community Groups, which begin right after the Worship Service at 11:00 am and are structured around a “season of life” concept where you gather up with people who are experiencing many of the same joys, challenges and struggles that you are. Community Groups vary somewhat in their formats but all are built around the importance of God’s Word and prayer. All adult Community Groups are listed below.
Lifeline (Single Moms) – Church Office – Bonnie Tschetter – Our group is made up of single moms sharing this part of life’s journey together. We are encouraged by God’s Word, we open our hearts and lives to each other and we pray for each other.
EnJoy (Women) – Room 18 – Danette Sharp, Diane Gaston – We provide a small group format for women to share, pray and study the Word together as we seek to grow in our walk with God and minister to others. Come join us!
Go Therefore – Room N8 – Todd & Cyndi Schatzman – Join us for an ongoing conversation about how we can reach our community in ways that are relevant, helpful and do not create dependency as we seek to “go therefore and make disciples”. Utilizing training programs, the word and prayer, we look to becoming Christ’s hands and feet to our community.
College and Career Class – Room 17 – Tyler Entz & Scarlett Bottrell – We are a group of young adults who want to be an authentic people known for our transparency, integrity and sincerity of heart. We want to serve Christ together by creating an environment that allows others to be who they are and then grow into the image of Jesus Christ.
Summit – Room E4 – Zac & Terri Niles, Steve & Stacy Lessman Our group is designed to help you make new friends, grow in knowledge and understanding of who God is and what He has done through the Bible, and receive the support and encouragement that we all need to stay faithful to the mission of God.
Collective Community Group – Room N9 – Ryan & Alicia Bloom, Michael & Kayla Carnuccio, Lisa Kieklak – We are believers who want to grow in community with one an other and share the common bond of the gospel. We will fellowship, show a video, have discussion and end at 11:45. Join us as we live out the gospel together through Bible study, fellowship and serving along side one another.
Foundation for Family (Young Marrieds/Parents of Preschoolers) Room E5 – Wes & Lesa Smith, Mike & Marilyn Thomas, Mike & Heather Isaac – Foundation for Family is targeted towards young married couples that do not have children or whose children are younger than kindergarten. Our goal is to lay a foundation to grow in God’s truth, to develop our walks and family relationships, and to build authentic relationships with other couples.
Family Time (Parents of Elementary K-4th Grade) – Room 16 – Kelly & Jan McGee, Daniel & Cate Moriasi, John & Sheryl Mease, Brett & Katrina Whitehead – In Family Time we gather as adults for teaching/small group discussion based on relevant topics to our season of life or Carlon’s sermons. We also have regular times of fun and fellowship beyond Sunday morning.
PG-13: Parental Guidance Suggested – E3 – Randy & Alicia Wheeler – We are a class for parents of middle school and high school students. In this class, we will discuss parenting, marriage, counter cultural issues, and encourage one another as Christ has called us to do. Living out the Gospel is our common goal and we would be honored to have you join our class!
Heartguard – Reception Room – Mark & Harriet Bottrell, Jim & Patti Wylie – We enjoy a time of fellowship, sharing and praying together followed by a discussion of Carlon’s sermon and ways to apply it to our lives. Come join us as we journey together through this life!
Frontline – Room E2 – Steve & Kristie Genheimer, Ray & Beth McKee – Our group offers Bible study and community for couples on the “Front Line” of parenting college age young people and the transition to the empty nest. Our format features teaching by Steve Genheimer and small group discussion.
Crossroads I – Room E1 – Paul & Karla Wasielewski, Russ & Kim GoeringOur community group time is comprised of share and prayer time, Bible study questions with group participation and periodic video series studies. We also have fellowship activities where we just enjoy being together and having fun as a group.
Crossroads II – Room 15 – Al & Debbie Cronin, Frank & Sheri Buerger, Gene & Carol Nikkel – We’re couples & singles, 40-50-60ish, some empty-nesters, some not; some ministering to our children, to our aging parents & to one another, but all desiring to grow in Christ. On Sundays we meet to share encouragement, praise and prayer. Our time may also include specialized small-group teaching, a discussion of the morning’s message, or a video lesson. We also offer smaller group home fellowship.
Legacy – Conference Room – Allen & Sandra Boules, Joe & Cathy Jared, Tom & Ann David, Mike Fisher – Our commitment is to develop a more personal relationship with God by studying His Word as a group and individually. Our emphasis is on in-depth teaching of Scripture, encouraging each other through prayer, fellowship and the mission field. Mike Fisher is our teacher/sharer.
